How do you create a brand with the aim of it becoming redundant? By capturing everyone's attention! Other Box is a social impact company dedicated to addressing the power imbalances that exist in the world through diversity, equity, and inclusion education and training.
Their mission is to make space for difference and envision a future where barriers to opportunities and progress no longer exist. To achieve this, we must examine, unlearn, relearn and act — a continuous work in progress.
To bring this strategy to life, we drew inspiration from construction and work-in-progress signage, crafting a bold, graphic approach to grab attention.
The design system utilizes shapes from the public domain, which are combined to create scalable and adaptable patterns. This results in a bold and accessible language which can be used to create engaging videos, presentations and infographics.
During in-person workshops, the Other Box logo changes to reflect ongoing partnerships with clients. To date, Other Box has educated 45,000 people across 300 businesses in 25 countries.
While education remains central to their mission, Other Box is also exploring new avenues to bring their vision to life, including talks, activations, casting, and a jobs board that prioritizes individuals from underrepresented backgrounds.
